"ohta" is Japanese fashion label mainly about clothes.

During his high school days, he decided to pursue his passion and designed his own garment collection.
After the launch of his label, which is now known as “ohta”, in Nagoya in 1999, he participated in famous international fashion and design events such as ‘IDEAL Berlin’ in Germany, ‘Aichi Triennale’ in Japan, ‘International Film Festival Rotterdam’ in the Netherlands, etc.
In 2007, OHTA changed his label to « ohta » and started presenting his collections in Tokyo.

And, He was chosen for The International Fashion and Photography Festival of Hyères2007.
In 2011, OHTA won the ‘Tokyo New Designer Grand Prix’, one of the largest fashion Grand Prix in the world organized by JFW and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the aim of which is to discover and support young fashion designers.
In 2012, OHTA’s work is presented at the ‘Future Beauty, 30 Years of Japanese Fashion’ exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

In 2020 ,OHTA opend own store"ohta room" at Tokyo.
